Fugue
ONE FRAME SCENARIOS
No. 9 Fugue
Fugitive notes chase each other
from hillock to hump and back to mother
Who, placid, eyes her erstwhile cargo and
placid chews in tempo largo.
Further still they chase their tails from
sharp to flat on the meadow scale
In galop time they gallop on,
prestissimo to the hill beyond.
They blink at the world, at each other,
In minor key run back to mother,
Who lets each mouth engage her.
Once again the mood is major.
